Sunday morning was another stunning morning. Flat calm, not a breath of air, and so relaxing sitting at the breakfast table watching the sea and the gulls. Liz & Steve were bringing Cam back after lunch and Dad, L & D were heading back to Hamilton around 12 for a birthday party, so we went for a walk along the beach while we had time. The tide was quite a bit more in than in the photo below, but it was still a wee bit muddy! We walked around the edge to the rocks at the end of the beach...
Rob found a "cave" and hid in it to surprise L.....
who quickly chased dad out and climbed in.......
However D took a bit of convincing and stayed in long enough to take a photo! Couldn't even be convinced to play monsters in the cave!
Then it was time to head back. Mr L was off on his way home, leading the charge, that is our house you can see on the right hand side of the photo..... Yep we made em walk ALL that way ;-)
Friends of mine (Margaret & Jim) moved to Raglan last year, so we headed off to visit them..... But couldn't find their house..... so we went to see Phyllie, one of Rob's friends from when he was growing up. After a lovely visit with her, we went home for a quick lunch, before Rob, L & D headed off. I then mucked around, read magazines, downloaded my photo's on to my lap top, vacuumed downstairs (the house had been flea bombed before we came in and still needed a vacuum to help eliminate the pest!), and generally chilled until 2.30ish when Liz & Steve turned up demanding their fish back! Too late! That was last nights dinner - but they sent Cam back any way. He had a great time with them and had tried to convince Steve to stay another night!!!!
He also had big news for us........
He had jumped off the bridge.........
Never would have done it for Mum and Dad - but happy enough to do it for Sensei Steve. Not only had he jumped once - he had jumped off 15 times! So the plan for Monday was for us to take him swimming and take photos!!!!!!!
